The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) is the nodal agency for
formulating Government policy for the maintenance of the integrity of the
public services and eradication of corruption and coordinates the
activities of various Ministries/Departments in that area.
Previously DoPT used to receive the details of the disciplinary
proceedings against officers/staff of GOI and send consolidated reports to
PMO, Cabinet Secretariat etc. which involves tedious paperwork and
time consuming. To eliminate the drawbacks in the manual process,
NIC-PersInfotech Division has developed a Management Information System
for Vigilance cases
